Step 1: First things first, power on your router and turn it on.
Step 2: Connect your router to the internet modem using an Ethernet cable.

Step 4: Launch a web browser. Enter routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1 IP in the URL bar.
Step 5: Press Enter to access the router login page.
Step 6: Input the default AC1200 router login details into the required fields and click Log In.
Step 7: The Netgear Genie setup wizard displays. Reaching here, follow the on-screen instructions and complete the setup process with ease.
Netgear AC1200 Setup Using WPS
Step 1: Power on your router.
Step 2: Press the WPS button on your WiFi router.
Step 3: Now, press the WPS button on your internet modem.
Netgear AC1200 setup process is completed using the WPS method.
Note: To complete the configuration process of your AC1200 router using the WPS method, your internet modem is supposed to be WPS-capable.
